Darkest To Fall Undoing Ruin

Official press release:

Melodic death metal band from Washington, D.C., Darkest Hour, will be embarking on their 20th Anniversary Tour, with select dates in North America and Europe. To commemorate the milestone, Darkest Hour will be performing their critically acclaimed 2005 release Undoing Ruin in its entirety.

Darkest Hour officially formed in the fall of 1995 as part of the NWOAHM, creating a world-wide underground following with their brand of classic American metal, thrash, and punk. Their perseverance as a band solidified them as forefathers of the metalcore sound. The band’s first LP, The Mark of the Judas, released in 2000, an early foundation to the genre that would become metalcore, will be re-issued and re-mastered by Sumerian Records along with the vinyl release of their 2014 self-titled album.

Mike Schleibaum, co-founder of the band, had this to say:

“To say we feel lucky to have been able to pursue this crazy dream of rocking and rolling for so many years would be a tremendous understatement. The honor that it has been to travel the world and make new friends while partying with old ones has not been lost on us. Playing live has always been at the heart of what we do as artists and therefore we felt it only right to commemorate our 20th anniversary as a band. We usually don’t take much stock in nostalgia, but we plan on making this one hell of a party; so we’ve invited long time duders of the highest order, Dead to Fall to ensure that there will be no one left standing. These shows are for everyone else as much as they are for us, so we hope anyone who has felt a connection with the band over the years will come out and enjoy this party with us!”
