“‘Tennessee’ is a song about DIY touring and the question that every touring musician has asked themselves countless times: ‘Why am I doing this to myself?’ DIY touring can be a sadomasochistic exercise, but the sick compulsion of rock and roll keeps us going despite common sense dictating otherwise. Also, despite common sense dictating otherwise, the video was created using only analog video equipment, including cameras, document scanners, VHS tapes, and analog video mixers.”
