Queens Of The Stone Age will be releasing their highly anticipated new album Villains on August 25th on Matador Records. The group worked with producers Mark Ronson (Adele, Duran Duran) and Mark Rankin (Bloc Party, Adele) on the affair. Bandleader Josh Homme said of it:
“The most important aspect of making this record was redefining our sound, asking and answering the question ‘what do we sound like now?’ If you can’t make a great first record, you should just stop – but if you can make a great record but you keep making records and your sound doesn’t evolve, you become a parody of that original sound.”
The first single, titled “The Way You Used To Do”, is now streaming and can be heard below. Pre-orders are now live via the label’s webstore. Shortly after the release of Villains, Queens Of The Stone Age will embark on a headlining tour of North America in support of the album with Royal Blood.
