New Jersey doom/grunge quintet Super Snake recently dropped their sophomore full-length Leap Of Love. A stream of the record in its entirety is available online and can be heard below. Vocalist Jerry Jones said of Leap Of Love‘s lyrical concept:

“Love is a funny thing, as they say. It is both vulnerable and dangerous and Leap Of Love aims to express the more unsavory aspects of the sentiment. The album is composed of vignettes and stories exposing treacherous ideas about the power, obsession, and dangers of love. The overall impression of love is ambiguous as the narrator from song to song draws his or her own conclusion as what to make of it. ‘Spirit Cave’ details the story of a murderous widow reaping the life insurance from her ex-husband as the narrator gushes about how much he has fallen for her and applauds her ambitions. ‘Cecilia’ is written from the perspective of a gay rodeo clown who maddeningly envies a female counterpart as she sleeps with all the bull riders he has fallen in love with. ‘Hot Pavement’ is a snap shot of delightful fascination behind the closet blinds of a serial stalker who absolutely loves what he does. ‘LIE4U’: the laments of a deadbeat father aggressively apologizing and eviscerating his ex-wife. ‘Sister Margaret’, a nun laughing all the way to hell. And there’s plenty more uniquely grotesque characters littered throughout Leap Of Love. The facets are many, the specifics are gritty, and the outcomes are mostly violent. Spattered with black humor, Burroughs-esque psychedelia, and tongue(firmly)-in-cheek philosophy, we can help you take the leap of love.”
