Launch Music Conference 2

Official press release:

The Eighth Annual Launch Music Conference set for April 21st – 24th in Lancaster, PA is thrilled to be partnering with The Entertainment Institute (TEI). TEI, founded by Kevin Lyman (Creator of The Vans Warped Tour), Jen Kellogg (20 year concert industry veteran) and Matt Halpern (Founder of Bandhappy and drummer of band Periphery) will be curating all educational panels and host a slew of break-out sessions throughout the weekend. Each panel and breakout session will give Launch Music Conference attendees a chance to learn about artist career growth, finding the right manager, booking agent roles, touring and more. Kellogg exclaims:

“I’m excited to build on the foundation we started last year, and really make Launch the premiere music conference and showcase festival.”

To continue, Lyman added:

“When Jeremy asked TEI to merge with Launch it seemed like a natural fit in helping us both reach our goal of expanding to a wider base and growing our projects together.”

Launch Music Conference founder, Jeremy Weiss expands on the significance of this partnership and the impact it’ll have on this year’s event:

“With Launch and TEI both focusing on educating young musicians and would-be industry professionals, combining forces feels like destiny. We are thrilled to partner with TEI on presenting and curating all of the educational components of Launch, expanding from a single-day program in 2015, as they are one of the most informative and effective educational platforms in the world. Partnering in the festival portion…, well that is most certainly a no-brainer! Kevin Lyman is one of the hardest working men I know, an innovator, and a friend. I’m so pleased, personally, to call him partner.”

Earlier last month, Launch Music Conference announced the first round of artist announcements including Bayside, Ice Nine Kills, Intervals and The Weekend Riot to perform at this year’s conference. New panelists have also been announced including: Finn Mckenty (CreativeLive), Dan Rozenblum (Circle Talent Agency), Christian McKnight (LiveNation New York), Mike Ciprari (SJC Drums) and Eric Osman (Bands With Management) as well as returning panelists, Randy Nichols (Force Media Management), Jason McMahon (Substream Magazine), and Jen Appel and Chrissy Borsellino (The Catalyst Publicity Group).

The jam-packed event, full of panels, seminars, parties, events, and performances, has welcomed heavy hitters such as Panic! at the Disco, Atreyu, twenty-one pilots and Foxy Shazam, as well as 180+ artists annually over the last seven years across 12 venues and 18 stages. All happening in the beautiful Lancaster County Convention Center and surrounding venues. The conference covers topics such as artist management, publishing, festivals, touring and more, giving artists and attendees a well-rounded look at today’s music industry.
