Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, the collaboration between The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman, Mastodon guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds, ex-Jane’s Addiction bassist Eric Avery, and ex-The Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore will be entering the studio this month according to Weinman in an interview with The Live Addiction. The band will be recording with producer Ross Robinson.
After the band finishes their record there should be a giant mash-up tour featuring Killer Be Killed, Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, either Soulfly or Cavalera Conspiracy, Jane’s Addiction and Antemasque. How crazy would that be?! Not only would it ridiculous because so many people would be playing double duty but think of the diversity? There’s a little something for everyone.
