Pittsburgh based metalcore band, Execution Day, continue their fresh new era with the announcement/pre-orders of their upcoming album MISERY LOVES COMPANY and the release of their powerful new single “BREAK AWAY”. Vocalist Dylan Dively reflects about the meaning of the song below:
“‘BREAK AWAY’ is about the constant fight with a vice or addiction, the kind of battle that doesn’t just disappear. The song stays hopeful, with the chorus saying, ‘I am bound by chains, but I will break away’, a reminder that no matter how heavy things get, you keep pushing forward.
The bridge asks, ‘If the chains won’t break, will you carry the weight?’ facing the possibility that the struggle might never fully end. It’s about living with those demons and choosing to fight anyway, even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.”
