“I’m old enough to remember a time before cell phones and a day-to-day life plagued by dial-up internet. Between the stubbornness of old age and seeing the decline of human interaction, I can’t get behind all of our modern amenities. ‘Digital Dead’ is about exactly that — the death of the handshake and the rise of the fist bump emoji. Kids today don’t stand a chance. We verbally attack one another with the thought that we won’t receive any of the fallout. If people have that mindset, we’ve already lost everything.”
