Zao have issued an updated mix of their song “Xenophobe”. Originally released last year, the track will be appearing on the group’s forthcoming studio album, The Well-Intentioned Virus. Drummer Jeff Gretz offered:
“This version of ‘Xenophobe’ is a little bit different than the single version that came out in 2015. Once we started mixing the rest of the record it made sense to fit it into the sonic framework everything else was taking. The guitars and bass were redone to match what was happening across the rest of the record, a other few tiny details were changed here and there and we gave it a totally new mix.”
The Well-Intentioned Virus is slated for release on December 9th through the band’s own Observed/Observer Recordings. Physical copies are available for pre-order now at Holy Mountain Printing, while digital editions can be found at the group’s Bandcamp.
