Vocalist/guitarist Matt Sokol sets the scene of the track, sharing:
“It’s my interpretation of what it would be like to go ‘Over The Top’, which is the military expression for entering the battlefield from the trenches. This character isn’t sure what’s going to happen, the whistle blows, and it’s time. The momentum of the track is similar. It goes from slow and plodding to fast.”
