Metalcore quintet Wind Walkers have shared that they will be releasing a new EP this year. Titled I Don’t Belong Here, the effort drops on October 3rd via Fearless Records. The announcement was accompanied by the debut of a music video for the single “Silk & Static”, check it out below. Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, vocalist Trevor Borg shared:
“Writing ‘Silk & Static’ was like staring into a mirror and unpacking every frustrating thing about myself. It came from a place of not understanding why my mind felt so chaotic all the time and why I kept getting in my own way. After recently being diagnosed with ADHD, the pieces started falling into place, and it shed a different light on the song. It was very eye-opening in the fact that I wasn’t alone, and that this kind of internal noise or ‘static’ is something others live with too. At its core, I wrote this song to offer comfort to people who can relate to feeling overwhelmed and misunderstood, while trying to make sense of themselves.”

Wind Walkers hit the road last week supporting Our Last Night on their final tour. The run also features Grayscale. The trek continues tomorrow in Omaha, Nebraska at The Admiral. Tickets are available here.
