South African deathcore/brutal death metal outfit Vulvodynia have announced the addition of Maya Pobst (Burial Path) to their ranks as their new vocalist. Pobst was chosen after the band launched open auditions seeking a new singer. She is the band’s third vocalist following the ouster of Duncan Bentley in 2023 after a physical altercation with one of the other members. Bentley was replaced by Zion Bittenbender, who was fired earlier this year following disturbing allegations of sexual misconduct, and more.
The band will be revealing their first material with Pobst shortly. In the meantime, their first shows with her will begin tomorrow. Their current live plans follow:
