Illinois deathcore act Veil Of Maya have been hard at work on their new record, which they intend to release before the end of the year. Sessions for the album began in the spring with Volumes guitarist Diego Farias producing.

Vocalist Brandon Butler recently spoke with Loudwire explaining the lengthy process:

“It’s going to be out this year. We don’t want to put out an album that’s rushed. We want to make sure it’s where we want it to be and what we think a quality album should be.”

While guitarist Marc Okubo informed fans not to expect all the new material to sound like “Subject Zero”:

“I can honestly say that’s the only song that sounds like that. If people are worried, they shouldn’t be. We try and make albums with every song sounding different. That’s how we like to do it.”
