Official press release:
Trove is a rock/grunge project formed by former Vanna frontman, Davey Muise. While it is a departure from his previous endeavors, he keeps the passion and punk rock alive. Trove recently unleashed a 4-track EP entitled Hark, which is available now. Off the 2017 release, comes “Massive”, a song about non-traditional love, the kind a lot of humans experience. Upon collaborating with director, Anthony Tran, Muise wanted the visual aspect to be as appealing and captivating as the song. He continues:
“Visuals have always played a role in music for me. If the first time I’m hearing a song is while seeing the music video, or watching it performed live, that image is forever framing that sound. If I’m experiencing visuals after hearing, It’s always interesting to see the artists vision of what that song means or inspires in them. I play a little game to see if my head came up with the same vibes theirs did. So this is the visual in my head for it, that the director made come to life.”
In addition to celebrating the launch of Trove and EP release, the band will be hitting the road this March with Idle Lives, Old Wounds, and Vessels, respectively. Dates are listed below. To carry on the unique spirit that Muise ensues, the band will also be playing some youth outreach events and schools around the country as Muise in the past few years has transitioned from one stage to another being a full time youth leadership and outreach speaker. Muise continues by stating:
“Everyone in this band is a direct result of music saving and being the catalyst to change our lives. I see kids at shows and schools every day searching for something, We want to give them something. We are just trying to take the punk rock right to the kids, maybe it’ll be the kick in the pants or the helping hand they need to get up and do something real and something they love. Plus it feels good to yell. And jump off stuff again.”
