The band said of the album:
“This record marks the first full-length Tomb Mold has recorded as a quartet. It definitely shows through in the sound, but this record isn’t nearly as good without the contributions of Sean Pearson at Boxcar Studios and Arthur Rizk. They helped push our vision into territories unknown. Brad Moore and Lucas Korte helped visualize the subterranean horrors of these songs and turned it into something cosmic. We set out to create something that was labyrinthian and maze like to help the listener be absorbed into a world of ancient creatures, but this record is also about creation from destruction, including destruction of the self. Free your mind, prepare to die.”
