The Used announce live album and tour to celebrate 15th anniversary

In celebration of their 15th birthday, Utah alt-rockers The Used will be releasing a live album titled Live And Acoustic At The Palace. The effort, which arrives April 1st or next year, was recorded during a special performance at The Palace Theater in Los Angeles, CA and can be pre-ordered at TheUsed.net. Vocalist Bert McCracken offers:

“I think we really captured the night perfectly and listening back to the mixes it reminded me how music can allow us to be children once again and once you open yourself up to that emotion it’s like a virus, it’s contagious. Nearly every eye in the venue was weepy the night we played with the orchestra because these songs are so emotional and this recording is a truly special thing that I can’t wait for everyone to hear. It still gives me goose bumps.”

Additionally, the band will be embarking on a 15th anniversary tour that will see them doing back-to-back shows at each stop. Each date features a full-album performance – the band will be performing their self-titled debut on the first night and 2004’s In Love And Death on the second.
