Los Angeles shoegaze/post-punk outfit Tennis System have issued a video out for their single “C L E A R E R”. Frontman Matty T. said of the Logan Rice-directed clip:

“Logan Rice and I came up with the concept for the C L E A R E R video, a song that questions why, in our modern age, no one seems true to themselves. The girl in the video represents us, somewhat alienated, jaded, but the same in each scenario she finds herself in. That’s what makes her so compelling, so strange to watch. She can only be herself, and that’s a metaphor for the band, too. Tennis System is its own thing. We stay in our own lane. Our own box.”

The song is off their new EP P A I N, which was released on vinyl as a Record Store Day exclusive this past Saturday, April 21st through Graveface Records. The effort will see digital release this coming Friday, April 27th. Pre-order it now on iTunes.

The P A I N EP was recorded in Philadelphia with Jeff Zeigler (War On Drugs, Nothing, Kurt Vile) and in Los Angeles with Courtney Ballard (All Time Low, Anti-Flag).
