Legendary independent New York-based rock label Equal Vision Records is excited to announce the signing of veteran Los Angeles-based alt-rock band Slothrust for 2026 and beyond. Joining a roster of recent signees such as Quicksand, Sparta, I Am The Avalanche, The Flatliners and LOWREV (Joshua Fiedler of The Juliana Theory), Slothrust will offer its first song for the label, “Burn The Deck”, next Tuesday, June 30. Leah Wellbaum and Will Gorin of Slothrust said:
“We are so excited to share that we have signed with the historic independent label, Equal Vision Records. This next chapter of Slothrust will be epic and we couldn’t be more psyched to join their fam.”
Additionally, Slothrust has announced a full North American headline tour for the fall. Titled The Dystopian Theatre Tour, the run will kick off on Tuesday, September 15 at Reverb Lounge in Omaha, NE, make a stop at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL on Friday, September 18, and culminate in an appearance at The Bellwether in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday, November 18. Support on the tour will be provided by The Velveteers and Um, Jennifer? in select markets. Presale tickets for all shows are available Tuesday at 10 a.m. local time via Slothrust’s newsletter subscription, with participating purchasers being treated to a preview of the band’s newest track “Burn The Deck”. Wellbaum said:
