South African rockers Seether have set September 20th through Fantasy Records as the release date for their upcoming ninth studio effort, The Surface Seems So Far. Pre-orders can be found here. The album was produced by bandleader Shaun Morgan, with Matt Hyde (Slayer, Deftones) in charge of engineering and mixing.
The group have also released a lyric video for their record’s lead single “Judas Mind”. Speaking of the song, frontman Shaun Morgan offered:
“‘Judas Mind’ is a song about reaching an understanding that there are bad actors in our lives that are trying to force an outcome for us that we don’t see as our destiny. It’s about rising up against people who have a vision for you that you don’t share.”
