Brown Acid – the compilation of long-lost proto-metal/stoner rock singles – is streaming in its entirety a week ahead of its release through RidingEasy Records.
The collection was put together by Permanent Records co-owner Lance Barresi and Daniel Hall of RidingEasy Records. Barresi comments:
“I essentially go through Hell and high water just to find these records. Once I find a record worthy of tracking, I begin the (sometimes) extremely arduous process of contacting the band members and encouraging them to take part. Daniel and I agree that licensing all the tracks we’re using for Brown Acid: The First Trip is best for everyone involved.
All of (these songs) could’ve been huge given the right circumstances. But for one reason or another most of these songs fell flat and were forgotten. However, time has been kind in my opinion and I think these songs are as good now or better than they ever were.”
Brown Acid: The First Trip is slated for release on LP, CD, and download on August 28th through RidingEasy Records. Pre-orders on all formats are available here.
