Abhorrent Decimation 1

Official press release:

Prosthetic Records are pleased to announce the signing of UK extreme metal outfit Abhorrent Decimation to their ever-growing roster. Defined as “burgeoning masters of both the 10-Megaton uber-riff and the killer chorus” who “aren’t afraid of a big hook — whether it’s a riff, a vocal part or a spiraling lead refrain” (No Clean Singing), the quartet will begin recording new material for their debut label release later this year. Further details on the new album, expected out in 2017, will be announced in the coming months.

Vocalist Ashley Scott commented:

“We’re extremely excited to hand over our next record to such a prestigious label, the guys have been great so far and we look forward to building a solid catalogue of releases with them. Prosthetic have released some of our favorite metal records over the years, so to be on a roster with the acts, past and present who produced is an incredible feeling.”

Formed in 2013 by Scott, Abhorrent Decimation self-released their five track debut EP, Infected Celestial Utopia which saw the group tour up and down the UK, including a run with Italian death metal legends, Hour of Penance. Shortly after in 2015, the band released their debut full-length album Miasmic Mutation which caught the attention of several of the top UK music outlets, including Metal Hammer who described the album as “a thing of violent beauty… the kind of brutality, assured techincal proficiency and memorable songs that many would offer up parts of their anatomy for.”

Abhorrent Decimation recently set up a pre-order for the vinyl edition of Miasmic Mutation, which recently came into national spotlight due to a printer error that saw the tracklisting to the album appear on the back of UK comedian, Bernie Clifton’s, pop album.

The quartet have announced a string of appearances across the UK this summer, dates are as follows:

5/28 – Southhampton, UK | Southhampton Annihilation Festival
6/16 – Croydon, UK | The Scream Lounge
6/17 – Liverpool, UK | Maguires
6/18 – Hitchin, UK | Club 85
8/27 – London, UK | Summerslam @ The Unicorn
