Retro rock trio Philm, which features former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo is geared up to release their sophomore effort. The album titled Fire From the Evening Sun will be available September 12th in Europe, 15th in the UK, and 16th in America.
Dave had the following to say about Philm’s new music:
“I believe this album has a daring, callous temperament about it that really sums up our mindset right now. No improvising, no fluff. It’s heavy and in your face from start to finish.
“You may think you know what PHILM is, but you don’t. If you haven’t seen us live, you have no idea. We thrive on being out of our comfort zones and want fans to take that ride.”
The band is already garnering accolades on their new work, with praises coming from Bill Ward, of Black Sabbath fame; and Randall Blythe, vocalist for Lamb of God.
The teaser sounds very promising, I’m definitely looking forward to checking this album out as soon as the stream becomes available.
