According to surviving Pantera members, Phil Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass), have signed a deal with Artist Group International for a 2023 North American tour under the Pantera name. Agents Dennis Arfa and Peter Pappalardo. Speaking on the deal, Pappalardo said:

“We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic band and bringing their music back to the fans.”

For his part, Anselmo said:

“I’m open for anything. And Rex and I, we are in touch and we talk. We’re friends and everything’s cool, so I keep an open mind. We’ll see in the future.”

At this time, it has not been revealed who will be playing in place of legendary guitarist Dimebag Darrell and drummer Vinnie Paul, both of whom have passed away. There is a rumor, according to Blabbermouth, that Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) and Charlie Benante (Anthrax) will be filling in; though there is nothing official yet.
