Official press release:
Outerloop Records has announced the formation of a new artist development deal with Cooking Vinyl America. With a decade of experience managing bands such as Darkest Hour, Refused, Carnifex, Ice Nine Kills, We Came As Romans, and Escape The Fate, Outerloop founder Mike Mowery launched the label to support developing artists in taking advantage of their music and sound recording rights. At launch, Outerloop Records is incredibly excited to have two returning artists – Chasing Safety and the new and improved Youth in Revolt – along with two new signings, Lorna Shore and Megosh. The team celebrates the announcement by releasing a new cover video of Ellie Goulding’s “Something in the Way You Move” from returning Outerloop band, Youth In Revolt, which can be viewed here:
Mike Mowery had this to say about the partnership with Cooking Vinyl:
“When we went looking for a new label home there were many people who expressed interest. Our track record for both managing and releasing developing artists is unrivaled. As a team, we have always been willing to go the extra mile for our artists to help them grow, and we are elated to have another arm of our company to help artists develop and prosper. Howie Gabriel and Marc Schapiro, of Cooking Vinyl America, have demonstrated equal enthusiasm for what we aim to do and we cannot be more proud to partner with them.”

As a full service management company over the past decade, Outerloop has had to pick up the pieces where many labels let them lie, spending time focusing on their artists branding, marketing, graphics, sponsorships and endorsements in-house. Mike Mowery comments further:
“It’s a cost we’re willing to absorb because it’s what we know is best for our artist’s growth – and our consistent results time after time have proven that. The recorded music climate in 2016 moving into 2017 is in a precarious place, so we are excited to be able to offer that as a service to artists. For the artists we sign, whether we manage them or not, we aim to be an incredibly valuable team member who brings all of those services and experiences to the table.”
Together, Outerloop Records and Cooking Vinyl are elated to push their initial releases and see what the future holds with forthcoming releases. Howard Gabriel elaborates:
“Mike’s instincts in working with young talent has proven that he has the skills and the ears to break new artists. We hope that with that talent and our marketing expertise and global reach we will be able to help him successfully break these new Outerloop artists.”
The first releases of the new partnership will include full-length albums from Youth In Revolt, Chasing Safety, Lorna Shore and Megosh. More details are soon to be announced.
