Northlane will be releasing a live album titled Analog Future on March 16th through Rise Records and UNFD. The track listing has been confirmed and a stream of “Citizen” off the album can be found below. The band said of the upcoming affair:
“Since Northlane was born, we have never been able to capture the rawness, energy and sound of our live show in a recording, until now.
Analog Future is the product of a year on the road. We recorded every show in 2017 and collated 10 of our most memorable performances into a live album. Your favourite songs might sound a little different, and you might hear a few mistakes, but that’s live music in it’s realest form. Analog Future is Northlane like you’ve never heard us on record before – aggressive, in your face, and right in the room with you.”
Mixing was handled by Jared Daly, the group said of the decision to work with him:
“When the question came up of who was going to mix Analog Future, the decision for us was clear. It had to be our live sound in your headphones, and the same guy who comes out on the road with us and smashes it behind the desk every night was the most qualified person in the world to do it.
Jared Daly has been with us a few years now between stints with Bring Me The Horizon, Architects & more. He recorded every show straight out of the desk in 2017 and those sessions were the catalyst for Analog Future.
He will be at the helm on our roundhouse show, so you can direct any complaints about the snare bottom mic EQ or floor tom reverb to him in person.”
