Tucson, Arizona based three piece North are thrilled to announce the details on their upcoming live album, Transmissions: Live In Bucharest. Listen to the new live version of “On A Beaten Crooked Path” now here:
Drummer Zach Hansen commented:
“It’s always fun to put out these live releases because they come with the story of the tour the album was recorded on, the story of the road.”
Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut Light The Way in early 2016, North immediately hit the pavement across North America with acts including Scale The Summit and Intronaut before making their European debut as direct support to Rosetta.
“We spent the summer of 2016 playing 20 some odd countries and bringing our music across the ocean to Europe for 36 days and it really was transcendental.”
Announced Hansen. He continued stating
“It’s only fitting that out of that ethereal experience comes our newest live recording, Transmissions: Live In Bucharest. The two days we spent in Bucharest are two days we will never forget. The people, the food, the club, our hosts, all were extremely exceptional. When we found out that our set had been recorded we jumped at the opportunity to get it out in any way we could because that night was so amazing.”
Scheduled for release on March 17 via Prosthetic Records, Transmissions: Live In Bucharest is currently available for pre-order at galacticdads.bandcamp.com.
“We’ve always seen ourselves as a live band, we feel our performances are what define us and what should define any band. We try and bring it every night and you can hear it on the recording, you can spot a flub or two because we’re not perfect. We’re tired, we’re jet lagged, we spent 9 hours in the van. Perfection is not guaranteed and honestly we wouldn’t promise that.”
