Official press release:
Charting hard rock newcomers Never Say Die have announced a sudden name change to Deadset Society. The band, featuring members of platinum selling group My Darkest Days, decided on the change after receiving notice of trademark infringement and pending legal action from UK based electronic music label Never Say Die Records.
The band’s frontman Reid Henry released a statement:
“It is with heavy hearts we must announce changing our band name due to a trademark infringement with UK label Never Say Die Records. In less than a year and against the odds we’ve played nearly 100 shows, attained hundreds of thousands of online streams, and more success at radio than we could’ve ever imagined as an independent rock band. We are grateful for each and every one of you who listen to, share, and connect with our music. You make it possible for us to chase our dreams. You are the life blood of this band. Together, we will overcome. Thank you for your continued support. Our last & final name is Deadset Society.”
Along with the recent signing to FM Music Management, the band plans to continue heavily touring throughout the U.S. in support of their debut album [Destroy+Rebuild] released independently early this year.
[Destroy+Rebuild] is available on iTunes.
