Neck Deep are streaming two new versions of their song “December” taken from their latest album Life’s Not Out To Get You. The first song is simply titled “December” and features a guest spot by Dashboard Confessional” frontman Chris Carrabba. The other version, “December (Again)”, features an appearance by Blink-182 bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus. Neck Deep singer Ben Barlow comments:
“‘December’ is based on a scenario I found myself in a few years ago – an ex-girlfriend totally fucked me over, and left me out in the cold trying to figure out what was going on. The song is essentially a story about that relationship, a mentally apathetic take on how it all went down, where I essentially blamed myself.”
On working with Carrabba and Hoppus he adds:
“To have Mark and Chris featuring on each version of the track is wild, seeing as they’re huge—if not some of the biggest—musical influences for us.”
The songs are being released through Hopeless on September 9th, with pre-orders available at MerchNOW.
