Monuments drummer Mike Malyan has been forced to sit out the band’s upcoming tour with Devin Townsend and Animals As Leaders due to an injury. Sitting in for him will be former The Faceless drummer Alex Rüdinger. The band made the following statement via Facebook:

“Hey guys,

We’d like you to send positive vibes to our drummer Mike Malyan. Unfortunately, he threw down too hard in London and is still a broken soul, he will be unable to join us on tour with Devin Townsend and Animals as Leaders next week. So if you see him, make sure you buy him a cup of concrete to man the hell up (kidding buddy, we love you and wish you a full recovery as soon as possible)

Special thanks to ‘G Mane Cheh‘ for filling in for Mike the past 2 weeks in Europe! You rule you little Irish Bastard.

We have enlisted help from our friend Alex Rudinger (ex-The Faceless, Conquering Dystopia, etc.), who will take Mike‘s place behind the throne for the tour.

Alex comments:
‘I’m stoked to be helping out my buds in Monuments for their US/Canada run with Devin and AAL, I can’t wait to get back on the road! I wish Mike a super speedy recovery with his back injury, keep safe bro!’”
