Official press release:

The debut installation of Olympia, Washington-based Migration Festival has expanded its already impressive lineup, this week announcing a round of new acts set to perform, as tickets are being prepared for public availability tomorrow, Friday.

A new, premiere, Summer metal festival comes to the Northwest US with Migration Festival, envisioned and executed by two of underground metal’s leading underdog record labels, 20 Buck Spin and Gilead Media. Set to take place at the historic Capitol Theater in downtown Olympia on August 12th, 13th, and 14th, the rich musical history of Washington’s small capital city makes an ideal location to celebrate the work of two labels successfully operating outside the boundaries of the big city music business. Migration Festival will primarily showcase bands from each label’s roster, as well as select other affiliated and respected artists, highlighting the distinct and contrasting styles that makes each label stand out.

Migration Festival now expands to include US-based Hell, the return of Australia’s Mournful Congregation – who will release their fifth album on 20 Buck Spin later in 2016 – ‘Spin labelmates Magic Circle, the first public live performance of Panopticon, the first show for Mizmor, with one more band that will be announced in the near future. View the remainder of the excellent lineup directly below.

Migration Festival tickets go on sale at 12PM Pacific this Friday, March 4th at THIS LOCATION.

There will also be separate after-shows to occur at a smaller local venue. A full list of suggested local Olympia hotels, bars, restaurants, and other businesses will also be published soon, nearly all of which will be within walking distance of the venue.
