Vocalist/guitarist Mark Bronzino states:

“‘Subjugation’ reflects Kontusion’s first, and maybe only, drop in BPM, delivering a crushing riff right from the start. Heavy tempos surround the track, while frantic fast paced beats create chaos at the core of the song. Lyrically, it agonizes on a history of humanity locked in a state of domination, where brutality is not only a reality, but the point.”
