Kill Devil Hill – the L.A. rock band featuring former Pantera bassist Rex Brown and vocalist Dewey Bragg (ex-Pissing Razors) – have entered Stagg Street Studios in California to begin recording their third album. The band will be working with engineer Josh Newell (Linkin Park, In This Moment) before handing the songs over to Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour), who will be in charge of mixing the completed tracks. Ruston has worked with the band on their first two albums Kill Devil Hill and Revolution Rise.
The new album will also be the first to feature incoming drummer Johnny Kelly (ex-Type O Negative), who is replacing Vinnie Appice following his departure to pursue other projects. Regarding his new position, Kelly comments:
“I’m really excited about coming on board with Kill Devil Hill. I’ve been a fan since their debut and have known the guys for a long time. It’s also clear that I have some really big shoes to fill. I’m ready for that challenge as I prepare for Kill Devil Hill’s next chapter. This is gonna be a blast!”
