June 26th M-Theory Audio is proud yet again to bring fans another Into Eternity catalog piece with the vinyl reissue of the band’s fourth album The Scattering of Ashes. The 20th Anniversary edition sees the group’s 2006 classic back on vinyl. We’re reissuing a limited-edition (400 copies) pressing on Timeless Winter colored vinyl with expanded insert featuring personal memories from several band members.
 
The Scattering of Ashes is the fourth full-length studio album by Canadian Progressive Death Metal band Into Eternity. It is the first album to feature vocalist Stu Block (later of Iced Earth) and now longtime bassist Troy Bleich. The album debuted selling well over 2,000 copies Soundscan its first week. And lead to tours in support with names such as Dream Theater, The Haunted, Dark Tranquillity, Destruction, Edguy and the Gigantour with Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy and Overkill.
 
The original album was released in 2006 on Century Media, who once again agreed to license us the band’s back catalogue – we pressed the vinyl firsts of the Into Eternity’s self-titled debut and the classic Incurable Tragedy in 2020, as well as their third album Buried Into Oblivion in 2024. The artwork for Scattering of Ashes was once again created by Mattias Noren (Sabaton, Kamelot, Evergrey) and the album was mixed/mastered by Andy Sneap (Judas Priest, Opeth, Nevermore). It feature the music videos for “Severe Emotional Distress” and “Timeless Winter”.
