Detroit rockers I Prevail have a new music video out for their single “Scars”. Singer Brian Burkheiser said of the track:
“‘Scars‘ was the first song we wrote that really took things to another level. It instantly set the tone for the rest of the album. I think it perfectly showcases our sound in terms of the riffs, electronics and big chorus, while still keeping the heaviness. We knew right away it was the song we wanted to lead with.
As for the message, we were seeing so many people being either scared or bullied into a certain lifestyle by different aspects of society. We still feel those pressures ourselves. This song is a message telling people to follow your dreams and be proud of who you are, regardless of what’s going on around you.”
The song is off the band’s upcoming full-length debut Lifelines, which is slated to hit shelves in late fall through Fearless Records. Pre-orders for the effort are now available and can be picked up at this location.
The band kick off a North American headlining tour dubbed the Strike The Match Tour. Joining them will be The White Noise, My Enemies & I, and Bad Seed Rising. Dates can be found below.
