“‘Umbriel’s Door’ is one of the heavier and more eclectic tracks on Liminal Shrines, with different riffs, feels, and moods evolving and winding their way throughout. The lyrics are about a group of scientists who awaken from hypersleep to make first contact with an alien artifact, and we wanted the song to capture that narrative progression—it begins abruptly, like an awakening from an alarm going off, and eventually ends in an eerie transformative manner.”
