Official press release:
Introducing Manchester born alternative trio Forty Four Hours, who will release their new EP Only Just Holding On on January 22nd 2016.
This release is a radical left turn from the bands earlier material. Vocalist Joe Holden explains:
“If anything, this record is quite a bit darker, it expresses a lot of stuff we’ve needed to say for the past year: writing it has been really cathartic. We’ve tried not to make you cry though. We really got to experiment with this record, so expect the unexpected.”
Forty Four Hours consist of Joe and Alex Holden, twin brothers who have dedicated themselves to making music from a young age, and drummer Alix Foden, another music fanatic. Combining addictive funky guitars and a unique vocal tone, which insinuates the music to give it that authentic feel, Forty Four Hours material is uncommon to your usual alternative rock trio and that is what makes them something special.
They have really put in the legwork in to get their name off the ground in 2015, by touring the UK relentlessly off the back of a handful of material. The band will head out on tour in early 2016 to help promote their forthcoming EP release, with a new single and accompanying music video still yet to come.
