Official press release:
Metal quintet Dethrone The Sovereign has teamed up with
Idobi Radio to premiere their brand new single and announce their upcoming album, Harbingers Of Pestilence, due out this Summer.
With influences that vary from Between The Buried And Me to Fallujah, and just a dash of The Faceless, the band manages to put together a sound that’s catchy, intriguing, and very much their own. If you’ve been searching for great musicianship, technicality, piercing screams and assaulting instrumentals, look no further, as Dethrone The Sovereign delivers all of the above, and packs quite the punch. Fans will be faced with shredding guitars, pummeling drums, heavy bass lines, and a vocal delivery that won’t be easy to forget. All is perfectly tied together by the concept and themes that make the album incredibly eye-catching.
“Harbingers Of Pestilence” is the first single taken from the debut full length of the same name that combines musical influences from metal to jazz, and classical to electronic, to name a few. The album is the result of years of hard work and time spent in the studio between writing and recording with help from producer Stetson “Bucket” Whitworth.
The band briefly elaborated on the track:
“We are proud to release the first single off our upcoming full length album! Harbingers Of Pestilence is the title track and we feel like it encompasses the overall sound we were aiming for on this record. Technical, heavy, groovy, and a little taste of djent.”
