Descartes A Kant have released a music video for their new track “Suppertime Rules”. Bassist/synth player Memo Ibarra said of the song:
“‘Suppertime Rules’ is one of the heavier songs on our album, but also has some spooky stuff in it. We were able to make good use of some of Steve Albini‘s vintage organs in this song like a Hammond with an original Leslie Speaker. Lyrically, It talks about the pre-established rules of life, how they are imposed to you and how they affect you long term. Lyric wise is the most subjective and also the one that goes more far from the love/relationship subject.”
The song is taken from the Mexican avant-garde outfit’s impending debut effort Victims Of Love Propaganda, out May 12th on Cleopatra Records. Pre-orders are available at the label’s webstore and the group’s Bandcamp.
