Singer Sandie Gjørtz said of the new, personal track:
“‘Your Presence Lingers Here’ is the most personal song I’ve ever been part of creating.
It was written during dark and uncertain times and captures the bond between a father and daughter- a connection shaped by both light and darkness, but always held together by an unbreakable connection.
Less than a year ago, I lost my father.
He was only 52. He wasn’t just my father- he was my best friend, my biggest supporter, and the one who first sparked my love for metal. Some of my earliest memories are tied to the music we shared; The energy, the rebellion, and the feeling that this music meant something real.
Before he passed, he got to hear this song. Knowing that he heard it and understood what it meant is something I will carry with me forever.
This release is dedicated to him to honor his flame – to the strength he carried through life and the passion for metal he passed on to me.
That fire still burns in every note I’m part of!
Some people never truly leave us.
Their presence stays with us in our hearts, our memories and in the music.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this beautiful piece to life, especially my warlocks who shaped the sound of my innermost self!”
