Dayseeker will be releasing their seventh full-length album, Creature in the Black Night, on October 24th via Spinefarm Records. The album was produced by Daniel Braunstein and mixed by Zakk Cervini. Pre-orders are available now and be picked up here. Frontman Rory Rodriguez said of it:
“There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on. It wasn’t planned. But once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it. There was this idea that we’d get more and more commercial over time. But I think the opposite happened — we’re riffing more, I’m screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest.”
The album announcement arrives with the debut of a Orie McGinness-directed video for the title track. Speaking of the single, Rodriguez offered:
“‘Creature in the Black Night’ is the darker part of your conscience overpowering you. It’s about the rush you’re addicted to that you can’t ignore.”
