“We didn’t write this song with the intention of making the title track of the new record. But, soon as the words ‘undead melody’ were written, it instantly felt like we had struck something more than just a chorus. We had found the theme of the whole damn thing. It just felt different and right. The demos we were writing up until then were dark and pessimistic analyses of relationships between people and the relationships people have with the world around them. While we liked the direction these songs were heading, we didn’t want the only energy being created by this record to be somber and depressing. So we decided to completely flip the vibe on its head and tap into the fun side of the macabre. We are a band that has its roots in Halloween. Halloween isn’t just dark. It’s fun. It’s inviting. This song is an anthem for the fans. Throw your cares aside and join the party.”
