If you’ve been wondering what revived nü-metal outfit Coal Chamber’s new album Rivals is gonna sound like, you get your first taste via the websiode above. In the clip, frontman Dez Fafara comments on the artwork before a 25 second tease of material – beginning at the 00:31 mark – from the record plays through to the video’s end.

It definitely sounds like Coal Chamber in my opinion, really looking forward to the premiere of an entire song to see how the band have grown since their last release, 2002’s Dark Days. Rivals will be available on May 19th through Napalm Records.

The band will be embarking on a U.S. tour with Filter, Combichrist, and American Head Charge in just a couple of weeks. You can check out the dates here.
