Oklahoma noise rockers Chat Pile have set October 11th as the release date for their second full-length effort. Titled Cool World, the effort will arrive via The Flenser. Pre-orders are available now and can be picked up on physical and digital formats here.
Today, also see the debut of the album’s opening track “I Am Dog Now”, with a music video directed by Will Mecca. Bassist Stin says:
“Will’s vision captures the essence of ‘I Am Dog Now’ by channeling his specific style of low-fi, exploitation cinema aesthetic into a dusty, religious bad-trip exclusive to the southern plains of America. Eagle eyed viewers may actually notice shots of the literal chat piles from which we take our name.”
Chat Pile will hit the road this November with labelmates Agriculture and Mamaleek on select dates. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 19th at 10:00AM local time and will be available via ChatPile.net/shows.
