New York progressive/experimental metallers Car Bomb have premiered a video for their brand new single “Dissect Yourself”. Guitarist Greg Kubacki said of the track:
“This time we really paid attention to song structure, and wanted to make this song lean and mean. There are some elements in our older material that to us now seems a little too over-indulgent now. With this, we really tried to make it compact and impactful.”
The song – which is available via Bandcamp – is the first sample of the group’s next album. That effort was recorded at Gojira’s Joe and Mario Duplantier’s Silvercord Studios in Brooklyn, NY and mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood (ex-Periphery). Regarding the record, Kubacki offered:
“We did this whole record on our own this time around, but we had the pleasure of recording at Silvercord studios (Gojira’s HQ). We learned a lot and had a blast dicking around in the studio.”
