Some new information has surfaced regarding the hiatus of Massachusetts metal band Shadows Fall – one of the outfits from the early 2000’s that helped usher in the new era of metal. According to a couple of tweets by frontman Brian Fair the band will be back at some point in the future. He’s not sure when but says that it will happen and adds that it was just time for the band to take a break from touring.

I don’t know about everyone else but I for one am excited to hear that the band will eventually get back together. These guys are without a doubt one of the bands that introduced me to heavier music (check out The War Within, phenomenal album!). I’m definitely looking forward to their return.
