Today is a special day because it marks the first non-metal post here on M3talN3rd. Granted this site has been active less than a week but still, it’s quite the occasion. Anyway, the self-titled debut by blues/rock outfit Blue Pills is out today.
This band seriously sounds like a group straight out of the 60’s with modern production at their disposal, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s like when I first heard Ghost B.C., I could have sworn that this was a group of guys that got their hands on a time machine, landed in this decade, didn’t like what they were hearing and decided to go with what they know. Blue Pills will definitely take you on a trip, but don’t take my word for it. See for yourselves, the album is currently streaming and the video is down below. If you like what you hear, you can purchase the album as a CD/DVD combo or double vinyl LP here
I’m gonna give the album stream a few listens myself and give this album a review, so check back for that.
