“This one takes its main inspiration from the folklore story of La Llorona [‘the Crying Woman,’ ‘the Weeping Woman,’ ‘the Wailer’], a betrayed woman, who in a fit of rage and despair, commits heinous acts that she spends eternity mourning. It tells the story of heartbreak, rage, regret, and despair, and ultimately a grim acceptance of what has come to pass.”
