Official press release:

Nail The Mix continues to dominate the online musical education market in 2017 with the return of this month’s special guest producer, Andrew Wade, who is recognized for his work with massive metalcore and rock frontrunners A Day To Remember, Neck Deep, The Ghost Inside and countless others. In 2005, after several years of honing his craft by performing in a band and producing EP’s for underground artists, Wade‘s work reached the next level after he produced, engineered, mixed and mastered A Day To Remember‘s debut full-length album, And Their Name Was Treason. Wade went on to produce three additional albums by ADTR, including 2013’s Common Courtesy, which features the pop punk-driven anthem “Right Back At It Again”.

This month on Nail The Mix, Andrew Wade will teach an exclusive livestreaming class offering a complete walkthrough of how they would mix “Right Back At It Again”. NTM subscribers can download the multi-tracks today, then join Wade for the livestream on March 4. NTM will also host a Q&A chat with Wade on February 16 at 2:00pm ET, exclusively available to subscribers.

Andrew Wade tells NTM subscribers and curious newcomers what to expect from his Nail The Mix session here:

In the video, Wade says:

“The final mix you hear on the album, that was actually Ken Andrews, but I did do a pretty awesome test mix that we’ll be walking you through. You’ll see every single recording process that I did from start to finish. Mixing the song presented a few interesting challenges that you guys are also going to face – such as incorporating a hybrid of real and programmed drums, making a human voice beatbox sound like a full drum kit, and finding lead tones that are not only unique, but appropriate for each part in the song. I think you guys are going to learn a lot from this class!”

NTM’s Eyal Levi adds:

Andrew Wade is one of those producers who you know is great and you just expect greatness out of, yet he always manages to surprise you and blow your mind with the latest brilliant thing he’s working on. Bringing him back on Nail The Mix is the most obvious thing in the world. We could bring him back ten more times, and still wouldn’t even make a dent in the amount of knowledge he has to share.”
