Official press release:

New York City deathcore quartet A Wake in Providence are thrilled to announce their signing to Outerloop Records, joining a roster that includes Lorna Shore, Youth In Revolt, Chasing Safety, and Megosh. Along with this announcement, the band has teamed up with Metal Injection to unveil the official lyric video for their latest track, “A Darkened Gospel”. The pulverizing track is a follow up to their most recent single, “The Imperfect: Iconoclast”, released in 2016. “A Darkened Gospel” was mixed, engineered, mastered by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland of Atrium Audio (August Burns Red, Lorna Shore, From Ashes To New). Guitarist D’Andre Tyre expanded on the track and its importance to the growth of the band:

“This song really encompasses the vibe that I’ve been trying to get across for some time, it’s been a real positive feeling to write and put out something I’m truly proud of. In addition to that, recording with the guys over at Atrium was a phenomenal experience, we had the choice to do live drums and being given the opportunity to record live drums with our new drummer Anthony Adipietro was such a great refresh. We have a huge connection to this song because the three of us went to the studio, the three of us worked together and tracked this single, and it is the three of us performing every stitch of it, and I personally couldn’t be more proud of the core we have.

Getting the opportunity to work with Outerloop Records is nothing short of amazing. We feel honored they wanted to work with us on this release, and we feel ‘A Darkened Gospel’ will get to our fans as well as new listeners the right way with their help!”
